From Raw Open Data to Open Knowledge
What happens when you create a data commons, seed it with great data, aggregate and organize it across place and time?
What happens if we take open data from governments publishing data, to a data commons where trusted members of the local community can also contribute and curate data?
Will we have true, two-way, data-driven conversations? Will we be able to get different insights, perspectives, and interpretations of the data? Will it allow us to leverage our respective strengths instead of creating yet another data silo that no one else has access to?
We don't know.
But for sure, it will allow us to #BuildWithNotFor, a Knowledge Garden, together as a community.
